Press the selector up (
), left (
), right (
), or down (
) to highlight items and press [MENU/OK] (
) to select. The up, left, right, and down buttons also double as the macro, film simulation, white balance, and focus-area selection buttons, respectively, and as function buttons 2 through 5.
To prevent accidental operation of the selector and the [Q] button during shooting, press [MENU/OK] until 
is displayed. The controls can be unlocked by pressing [MENU/OK] until is no longer displayed.
