Troubleshooting

Consult the table below should you encounter problems using your camera. If you don’t find the solution here, contact your Fujifilm dealer.

Power and Battery

Problem	Solution
The camera does not turn on even when the power switch is set to \|.	The supplied battery is not charged at shipment. Charge the battery before first use. Charge the supplied battery before use (aCharging the Supplied Battery). Reinsert the supplied battery in the correct orientation (aCharging the Supplied Battery). Reinsert a fully-charged V-mount battery in the correct orientation. When using an AC power adapter, confirm that the AC power adapter and the AC cable are properly connected.
The supplied battery runs down quickly.	Select [MAINTENANCE] > [BATTERY AGE] in [SET UP] to view the battery age; if the battery is old, replace it with a new battery.
The camera turns off suddenly.	Check whether the battery is running out of power (aChecking the Supplied Battery Level). When the camera temperature becomes high, it will automatically turn off.

Problem	Solution
Shooting is unavailable when the [REC] button is pressed.	Check the free space on the memory card. Check whether the connected external device is ready for recording.

Problem	Solution
Video recording ended unexpectedly.	Recording may stop if the writing speed of the storage media is slow. A list of supported storage media is available on the Fujifilm website. For details, refer to “COMPATIBILITY (Cameras)”.

Audio cannot be recorded. Noticeable noise in the audio.	Check settigs for [AUDIO SETTING]. Confirm that the microphone is not blocked during recording.

Problem	Solution
Unable to play back movies.	Movie clip playback may be unavailable if the clip was renamed or edited, or if its folder was renamed via a computer or other cameras.

Problem	Solution
Cannot upload files.	Check that the network settings are correct. The signal strength may be poor. Move the camera to another location and try again. Ensure the camera clock is set correctly.

Problem	Solution
The camera is unresponsive.	Remove and reinsert the battery (aCharging the Supplied Battery). Use the lock switch to unlock the controls (aLock Switch).
The camera does not function as expected.	Remove the battery and any accessories attached to the camera, then reattach only the minimum necessary accessories and reinsert the battery before operating the camera (aCharging the Supplied Battery). If the problem persists, contact your Fujifilm dealer.
