Connecting to a Smartphone or Tablet

The app supports two connection types: Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi with Bluetooth. Wi-Fi with Bluetooth connections allow auto download whenever FUJIFILM Camera Remote is running on the smartphone or tablet.

iOS and Android use different procedures for establishing connections.

Bluetooth Connections (Compatible Cameras Only)

Pair the camera with a smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth.

Even when you connect via Bluetooth, the pictures will be downloaded via Wi-Fi.

Wi-Fi Connections

Connecting the camera to the smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi lets you use FUJIFILM Camera Remote to control the camera remotely and view and download pictures.

Auto download is not available with Wi-Fi–only connections.

A smartphone or tablet can be used to adjust camera settings and take pictures remotely.

The following cameras are not supported: X-E2 (firmware version 1.00–2.10) / X-Q2 / X-Q1 / FINEPIX XP70 / X-M1 / X-A2 / X-A1 / FINEPIX F900EXR / FINEPIX Z2000EXR / FINEPIX XP200 / FINEPIX S9400W series / FINEPIX S8400W series / FINEPIX F800EXR / FINEPIX Z1100EXR / FINEPIX Z1000EXR / FINEPIX XP170

Upload images from the camera to the smartphone one at a time.

The FINEPIX Z1000EXR can not be used with iOS devices running iOS 10 or later.

Browse Camera: Browsing the Camera from a Smartphone

Browse the pictures or movies on the camera from your smartphone or tablet and select pictures for download.

The iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch may not store movie files in unsupported formats. In camera’s shooting mode, choose HD(1280 × 720) or smaller size for MOVIE MODE of MOVIE SET-UP.

Android smartphones and tablets store movies in the /fujifilm/Photo Receiver folder.

Movies can not be viewed depending on android smartphones or tablets, or movie viewing app.

The following cameras are not supported: FINEPIX Z1000EXR / FINEPIX XP170

Cameras that support Bluetooth do not use this function; instead, location data are updated automatically.
